Erik Ramos-Santos, born and raised in Malabon, Philippines, was winner of the ABS-CBN program Star In A Million in January 2004.


The Grand Prize winner of the hugely successful star search on Philippine TV Star In A Million, Erik Santos went from being an anonymous talent to a nationally known pop star. For several months, millions of viewers watched the intense competition and week after week, Erik impressed the avid viewers of the show with his powerful vocals and warmth as a performer. Early on in the competition, Erik already showed signs of making it big thus earning him the moniker The Rising Star. With his unforgettable rendition of "This Is The Moment", Erik emerged as the winner.


It was a tumultuous couple of months for Erik after Star In A Million, what with the media frenzy and instantaneous popular success. He released hit singles one after the other -- "I Believe I Can Fly", "It Might Be You" (duet with Star In A Million-mate Marinel Santos), "I Want To Spend My Lifetime Loving You" (duet with Star In A Million runner-up Sheryn Regis) and "This Is The Moment". "This Is The Moment" is a huge radio hit, topping local radio charts as well as the MYX Hit Charts -- staying at the #1 spot for 11 weeks.


Amidst all these, Erik has managed to keep his head above water and still remains charming. This "realness" is one of the biggest factors why Erik has won over audiences nationwide.


Born Rhoderick Ramos Santos and now known as the soulful young balladeer that he is, Erik's moment has indeed come with the release of his much-awaited debut album aptly titled This Is The Moment. His first single off it is the stunning and heart-breaking song "Pagbigyan Muli", which is written by award-winning songwriter / producer Jonathan Manalo. Erik and Jonathan have collaborated before for the Star In A Million album which, incidentally has gone GOLD already with sales of over 15,000 units and is on its way to PLATINUM.
