Judy Anne Lumagui Santos, popularly known as Juday (born May 11, 1978), is an award-winning television and film actress and chef-restauranteur in the Philippines.
Judy Ann was born and raised in Manila, Philippines. She has an elder brother, actor Jeffrey Santos, and an elder sister named Jackie. Her mother single-handedly raised them by working as a nanny in Toronto, Canada.
Santos started acting at the age of eight. Since then, she has gained critical acclaim and popular success both in film and television acting, appearing in box office hits, and achieving high soap opera ratings, acting awards, and magazine covers.
In November 2006, Judy Ann was awarded her own star in the Philippines Walk of Fame. In March 2007, she was inducted into the Paradise of Stars in the Mowelfund Compound. Both honors were spearheaded by German Moreno. Santos is set to celebrate her twentieth anniversary and twenty-ninth birthday via an ABS-CBN television special scheduled to be broadcast in May or June 2007.
Santos grew from a skinny little girl into a chubby teenager. To become physically fit and more cinematically appealing, Santos resorted to Bangkok pills and fad diets but failed. Soon, she discovered the sport of kickboxing and started losing considerable weight during her training for the role of a boxer in Bakit 'Di Totohanin.
Santos has become an image model for health and physical fitness. She regularly appears in television advertisements, endorsing pharmaceutical brands, herbal supplements, and weight management products. She has transformed from a "chubby teen sweetheart" into a "sexy fitness guru".
Santos was rumored to have had relationships with actor-dancer Wowie De Guzman, actor-entrepreneur Rico Yan, and actor-singer-TV host Piolo Pascual. Santos is currently dating actor, television host, and businessman Ryan Agoncillo.
Santos has made several friends in local show-business, including talent manager Alfie Lorenzo, actress-restaurateur Beth Tamayo, actor, singer, and television host Piolo Pascual, production designer Dante Nico Garcia, director Joyce Bernal, and veteran actresses Sharon Cuneta, Coney Reyes, and Caridad Sanchez.
